I’ve just spent the last few hours working on the directors cut of my short horror film ‘Angel of the Night’ and it’s close to being finished.
All that is left to do is add a little extra foley in places and some colour correction, and then It’s premiere time – my living room will be the screening venue. Must try to get my hands on some red carpet.
Once the film has had its premiere, one of a few things will follow. I might need to take it back into the edit and make some minor (or major) alterations from the feedback I get, if it gets a resounding thumbs up I’ll be entering it into a few small short film competitions.
I don’t want to spend too much longer on the project as the original idea behind this short film was to give me valuable experience of directing a short film. That done and soon time to move onto my next project.
I’ve put together a plan of what I want to achieve over the next two years, I’ll post this plan on the blog over the next week or so.
Thanks again for visiting, keep checking back, still plenty more to happen here!
Danny.
First of all, congratulations! What I love most about your philosophy is you are remembering what your goals were from the onset… to learn… and you aren't forcing the project to do more than just that. Your big-picture view and laying out your 2-yr plan is fantastic! So many people want instant success, they aren't willing to understand success comes in a matter of baby steps. Patience and hard work will eventually get you where you want to be. Kudos, Danny. I look forward to watching your climb.
