So, the Coldplay music video is in the can after this morning’s shoot. I was a little apprehensive about the day, a little worried that nobody would turn up. I had fifteen people who’d volunteered to appear in the video and I wasn’t too surprised when more than a handful of them didn’t turn up.
The fact that I didn’t have a full cast meant that the story will fall very short of what I was wanting. It means I’m going to have to spend more time on the edit!! This is of course a disappointment and especially after Ellie who was playing the lead in the video had spent hours rehearsing and memorising the lyrics to the Coldplay track. Lesson learnt – work with actors and never rely on family and friends!!
Having said that, I was delighted with the performance of Ellie in the lead role. She was extremely professional and convincing in the part. An achievement considering that this w
as her first time in front of the camera.

Those that did turn up made the filming fun and I was very grateful for their patience and for giving up a few hours of their time to help a fledgling movie maker.
Many thanks to Aiden Hirst, Heidi & Ellie Holdsworth, my mum and dad, Leigh Boyes, Hazel Chambers, Colin Green, Jacqui Blay, Jacqui Deaves and Jen.
To get a feel of how the morning went I’ve included a short video montage with this blog entry. The finished edit will be available to see on You Tube very soon.
Many thanks for visiting.
