Why? Why? Why? A 24 hour live show, are you nuts!
I’m three days away from taking on a, on the surface, crazy and unique project to help raise funds for my next short film AND to raise awareness. I say crazy, but deep down I believe it’s a great idea. I will be the FIRST indie filmmaker in the world to attempt this. There’s my ‘hook’.
PR and marketing is an essential part of being an indie filmmaker. You’re a business person, you are the product, you are the shop window, if it’s going to work you have to be willing to put yourself out there.
The 24 hour live show is yet another in a long line of innovative ideas I have for experimenting with PR and marketing methods. The idea is to raise £2,000 ($3,000) within 24 hours. There are three main things that I’m trying to ‘sell’ during the show to help raise the funds, they are:
1. 50x Become a Film Buddy of Love Like Hers for £20/$30
2. 20x Pre-order DVD of Love Like Hers packed with behind the scenes extras £25/£40
3. 10x Become and Associate Producer on Love Like Hers for £55/$80
I’m trying to get together a whole host of guest videos and fun features for the live show and so far I have some VERY exciting things lined up.

Those are just some of the highlights. There are plenty more features to be announced and lots of guest videos, interesting documentaries and much more!
